Landing page URLs may use redirects in order to track performance and measure Click Through Rate (CTR) for example. However each redirect triggers an additional HTTP request-response cycle and can delay landing page rendering.
Please note: For privacy or GDPR reasons, you can restrict the number of entities tracking the clicks to just one, minimising data collection while ensuring functionality.
Landing page redirects setting in Advalidation
In Advalidation you may set a Max redirects number as part of your Display Ads specifications.
Please note: you may set the Max redirects to 0 if you want no redirects.
Advalidation's recommendation
We recommend using this setting if you want to measure or keep the number of redirects to a minimum in order to avoid issues like delays, or for privacy reasons (GDPR).
This setting should be used in conjunction with Landing page to ensure the final Landing page resolves and works as intended.
